I find I can't write much about Obama without gushing praise and waxing dramatic, because I am totally thrilled. I was almost superstitious when it came to talking about it, but I knew, deep down, that he was going to win. I just didn't want to jinx it.
Voting was a pleasure at 9:15ish in the morning. Everyone was in such good spirits, except for one guy who seemed a little overly annoyed that a poll confident had directed him to the wrong line, and he was not loud or obnoxious or anything. It was a bright, chipper and polite atmosphere overall.
It's inevitable, though, that some people will have to have their say all over the radio and television for the next eight to twelve years. My greatest hope is that their nasty, grasping, resentful and negative attitudes will fade away when good things begin to happen again in our country. Instead of attacking one another, I believe this new leadership will encourage and expect everyone to stop bickering about petty, political non-issues and begin to work together for all our sakes. But just to be absolutely safe, I won't jinx this possibility by talking too much about it. So that's all I'm going to say.
Is there a god? Are there many gods? I don't know for certain; no one does. But I am confident that it's not ever going to ever be up to any government to decide, and that's also worth celebrating.
May any and all Gods and Angels Bless President-Elect Barack Obama, and his family!

Hmmm . . . Wonder what I'll get for this old Pokeball?
